Fabia Pedals

Featured Replies

My 2018 Fabia was booked in for its 5 year service and cambelt change (last September) and I had requested a courtesy car. This was a 2023 Fabia with manual gearbox. The pedal layout - height, relative position and amount of offset - was so bad that it was difficult to move from accelerator to brake without an awkward lift and twist of leg and ankle and, after 10 miles, my right knee was painful for several days.  This problem does not exist with my 2018 and 2016 Fabias which have the previous floorpan.  The same problem appeared to be present when I looked at a Kamik but did not drive it.  My intention to replace both Fabias this year has been abandoned.  Is this problem due to my height - 6ft 2 inches - or have any colleagues in Briskoda  experienced similar difficulties?  It is worth mentioning that the courtesy car was not needed as Skoda had just changed the game regarding cam belt changes.  The dealer had discovered this on social media on the day before my appointment but still wanted my car for the day!!
