Clutch pedal hesitates on coming back up

I've had this problem for a while now.

So every now and then, in certain situations (it doesn't happen consistently), the clutch pedal seems to have a 'notch' in the middle when coming back up. It's not smooth, as if there is hesitation in the middle. What could be wrong?

 

It's a 1.5 tsi 2021 octavia manual.
