Oil sensor workshop fault

Featured Replies

Hi all, and thanks in advance.

Today I got the flashing amber oil sensor workshop fault flashing up on the display. I've had a good rummage round the forum, and I guess it's likely to either be a faulty sensor or a wiring issue.

The car is due for a service, but being without it for a few days is going to be hugely inconvenient (renting a car levels of inconvenient).

So the question is a simple one, although I have a feeling the answer may not be. Is the car safe to drive? The warning is amber- so a be aware/get it sorted level warning rather than a stop now red warning. However the big flashing icon and a beep (from memory) is making me thing I need to take it more seriously than a low washer fluid warning.
