Hi, I hope someone can help me find the correct replacement rear nearside lamp for my Octavia Mk3 saloon (2018).

 

I damaged it in a minor collision, though I have glued it so it's still usable,  I have tried to buy a replacement online, and found one that was stated to be the correct one. It certainly looks like it is correct, from the front .  However, when I came to fit it, the shape of the bulb holder is incorrect and there are additional holes for bulbs.  The old fitting has a sort of triangular shape to take the bulb holder, whereas the delivered part  has a sort of diamond shaped bulb holder.  

 

The delivered part has what I assume is a VAG part number 08-665-1928L-F.  Can anyone tell me what model / year this should fit?  Then I could try to resell it (I can't return it to the supplier as I have lost the invoice and it's now too late).

 

And what part number do I actually need?  I could of course take the damaged lamp off the car again to look, but I want to avoid any more damage.

I'm not sure how definitive these part catalogues are (I can't find my fully LED rear light for example) but that's not a part number listed here or here.

 

You're probably going to have to take the old light out again and double check.

May be too late now but if you send me your vin, i can check the skoda parts catalogue for you.
