ACC navigation Trailer speed limits (Germany)

Featured Replies

Last year while towing a glider trailer to Germany, the Autobahn towing speed limit came up as 100kmh.

This year ( following a system update around Xmas) it came up as 80kmh.

I know there are two speed limits in Germany, the 100kmh should only apply to trailers which have been TUV(MoT) tested, but I doubt there is any cleverness in the system which knows whether the trailer has been tested or not.

So, the question is, can my car be tweaked to use 100 as the default trailer towing speed instead of 80?

Yes, I can lift the speed using the car controls, but this then causes the car to ignore an 80kmh signed section if there is one (presumably because the ACC thinks it is already set although it has been overridden).
