Sudden Octopus Go communication issues.

Featured Replies

I recently used a public charger for the first time, and ever since, I am unable to charge at home!

I use a standard 3-pin plug to charge.

There are no timers set within the car.

No settings have been changed on either Octopus or MySkoda apps, or in the car.

The Octopus app is detecting that my car is plugged in, as it sets a charging schedule, but the car just will not charge in occordance to the schedule.

I can use the 'bump charge' feature intermittently, although as I type, the Octopus app states 'bump charging active' but the car is not charging at all and the front charging light is not illuminated.

It's all very odd and infuriating. Everything worked fine, until I plugged in elsewhere.

Sounds like the charging circuit needs a reset which, unfortunately, I’d suspect will mean a dealership visit.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, and thanks for replying.

The problem has now been sorted, but I'm not sure how!

I signed out of the Octopus app and signed back in, but that didn't work.

Eventually I gave up and signed out of the Octopus app for a good few days so I could at least charge the car. I also reset the trip data in the car as I was going on a decent run and wanted to gauge economy.

A couple of days later I decided to try Octopus again, and it worked. Has done everything since!?!
