Side steps (Skirts) for Octavia mk4?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knew if any such thing was available anywhere? Be it official or after market, I've searched high and low but I'm not able to find any real results myself...

And Rieger:

There may be others but that's the only ones I've seen.

You can also buy through Kopacek:

Thanks, but what I'm looking for are more steps than just skirts, I should have made that more clear, my apologies.

Appreciate you digging those out for me though👍🏻

As I say I'm not even sure such a thing is available, they're usually only seen on SUV's and the like, just wondered if anyone knew of something compatible... 🤔

Provided you don't live in the UK, as Kopacek won't ship items too large for Royal Mail to the UK.

Yeah, I forgot about that issue.

It's strange when in the UK you're virtually next door, yet they have no problem shipping all the way down to New Zealand!

I'd be very, very surprised if anyone makes those for the Octavia.

You might be better off talking to a sheet metal fabrication company and see if they can knock something up for you, I wouldn't think it would be too hard a job for a competent tradesman, cost may be prohibitive but you don't know until you ask!

Running boards are for SUV/Pickup type vehicles, where a higher ride height makes a step potentially easier to get in the vehicle. Why would you need one for a car? I’d suspect, as above, this will need to be a bespoke solution. Nobody is making an off the shelf item.

Paperwork complications after Brexit is what Kopacek say, nothing to do with distance.
