2016 Škoda Octavia KESSY Stopped Working

Featured Replies

Hi

I’m looking for some advice regarding my 2016 Škoda Octavia. The KESSY (keyless entry) on the driver’s side door has suddenly stopped working. It used to work fine, but recently it just quit.

It still works perfectly on the passenger side and on the trunk, so I’m confident the key fob battery isn’t the issue.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Could it be a faulty door sensor, wiring issue, or something else? Any tips on what to check first or how to diagnose it would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I suggest getting a good diagnostics scan done, with OBD11 or VCDS, which will likely show a problem with the sensor in the drivers door handle.

Is there anny way to measure out this sensor to see if it's faulty. A read out wil not tell a difference between a broken sensor or a broken wire.
