Flat Battery

Featured Replies

Superb 1.9 TDI Elegance

My other half somehow succeeded in leaving the interior light on for 24 hours resulting in a flat battery. Not that dead it wouldnt light up the instrument lights but sufficiently so that the engine wouldnt turn. After recharging the battery for 12 hours I managed to start the car but it is now asking me for the radio code and the front electrical windows refuse to close automatically unless I hold the window button continually. Has this gross negligence:finger: of my other half condemned me to a visit to my dealer?.

Secondly, could an electrical boffin tell me how long a run (with no electrical appliances running) it would take to restore a flat battery to full charge.:)

The Code for your radio should be in with all the Car Manuals you got when you bought it. I think its 4 digits. Never flattened a car battery so I've never had to enter mine. :P
