Octavia vRS Factory Fitted Cruise Control

Featured Replies

Anyone out there let me know what changes are done to the vRS Octavia interior when the cruise control is fitted at the factory (Steering wheel or stick mods?)

Dealears are a little vague as is the dealer documentaion.

Appologies if this has previuosly been addressed but search could find nothing!

On a seperate matter, what is most popular colour for the Octavia vRS?

I am leaning towards the silver, putting in order within next couple of weeks.

Cheers

:hooray:

Factory fitted (or retro-fit by big k (on of the members here)), the result is the same: a new indicator stalk (normal VAG part) with a few more buttons on it.

You'll find that opinions on colour vary in 5 seperate camps... the ones that like black, the ones that like silver, the ones that like red, the ones that like yellow and the ones that drive a 4x4 and can only make fun of us vRS drivers who have only 4 colours to choose from :D. Personally I like black, yellow, silver and red (in order of like/dislike).

So welcome to the forums and make sure your next question is not going to be '4x4 or FWD?' ;)

Q.

The factory-fitted cruise control looks exactly like the one which can be retro-fitted by our very own K - not surprising, since he uses standard VAG parts. By co-incidence, I posted this in another thread a few days ago, it shows the "before" (non-CC) and "after" (CC) indicator stalks.

You ask which is the most popular colour for the vRS - well, judging by the members on this forum, it's a toss-up between black and silver. Now ask which is the best colour ;)

(EDITED) Just noticed, it's your first post. Welcome to Briskoda

Don't ask any questions about colour, however innocent; it'll trigger off another religious war :D

A big welcome from me too, Chuffer. :D

For the record, KLB's (aka Mike's) use of blue (see quote above) is a subliminal attempt to stir up the very trouble he is warning against............. :grumpy:

Mainly one man, with an estate 4x4 in a fetching shade of Aquamarine (or dynamic blue to everyone else).

I'll give you a clue: he looks like a muppet!

the only difference is the indicator stalk

it has an on/off switch on the front of the stalk facing you and a rocker type switch on the end which you set your speed with

used it for the first time on staurday..have to say it was a wierd experience but I will get used to it
