Can someone tell me where the CD Changer plug socket is located in the vRS ( I reckon it's behind the panel that the Changer sits next to) but just want to make sure. Reason being a work make has written off his Audi A3. The scrap yard gave him his CD changer back (same as ours) and he has asked me to see if I can get his CD cartridge out for him, so I was just going to plug it in and hit the eject button.

Help much appriciated.

You'll need to remove your changer from it's bracket unfortunately to access the connector. It sits at the right metal bracket side.

Removing it from the bracket is not too hard. Undo the screws down the side of the brackets lightly (no need to remove them), then in an upward and pulling motion slide the changer out of the bracket. Quite a lot of force is required though...

Perhaps you could just croc-clip 12v across the relevant pins on the old changer?

Now that's a good idea, any one know which ones are the relevent pins?
