Double DIN HU in a Fabia vRS?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a double DIN head unit in a Furby vRS? Has anyone done it?

I have fitted the double din sat-nav.. so a double din HU should also fit.

Am hoping to put a Kenwood DDX6029 in there - anyone know if this units any good?

I take it i just remove the old unit, and the little cubby hole bit of plastic below it which should give a 2-DIN hole? Just need to know if i am missing anything...like a fascia adaptor...kind of hope the unit would just take up the whole gap but i know im being naive!

Only bit of facia adapter you need is a tiny bit of plastic trim which is available for no more then £3 from your dealers. It goes above the stereo as old unit was slightly larger than single DIN.

Double din unit will go straight in.

Heres piccy of my unit (Trim is piece that is above it between the unit and switch for heated rear etc.)

Fantastic, that looks really nice!

Any idea on the part number etc for that bit of plastic? The only problem for me is my local dealer shut down and now my nearest is over 70 odd miles away...so ideally i need to get one posted to me. Hopefully some dealer would do this? Is there anyone on Briskoda that can post bits like this that you know of?

Thanks for your help matey, good name aswell - teehee :)
