@What time/mileage intervals should the cambelt on the 1.6 engine be replaced?

Thanks. Mine will prob need doing in another 20k then.

It doesn't mention this in the manual though, just says check condition and tension/replace when required.

When I took my 1.6 Felicia in to Parkside Skoda they recomended changing the cambelt at every 40,000 miles or 5 years whichever comes first. Skoda themselves only say to check the belt every 20,000 miles for damage, but this sounds a bit risky to me.

It does sound risky.

I have checked my belt and it looks ok with no damage

Thing is theres no record for my car when the belt was changed, if at all.
