BAKER21's SUPERB CHANGES TO A VR6!!!

Featured Replies

I don't take my car to the dealers as I believe that 'they' in most cases are 'fitter's' and not 'mechanic's' so I have a guy that I have known for a while that looks after my Superb.

Unfortunatly I have had both CV Boot's go and I have had to replace just the boot's, so while it's in I am running around in my mechanic's lovely Golf MK3 VR6, what a car, some serious power and I am not too sure that I want the Superb back, LOL!!!

Not your average courtesy car, but just thought I would share these two pics with you and I appreciate that it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea but I love it!!!!

Not a bad idea, LOL!!

It is currently for sale though!!

My best mate had one of these and I so wanted one for ages. I was going to get a Highline in mulberry!!...but....he only got about 28mpg when he was tottering in it, good play thing though

A beast! I love the engines - maybe not so keen on whats wrapped around them, unless its a corrado. But hell of a bit of engineering.

i want a corrado again. really badly..have you seen how cheap they are now?

plus, you get a 2.9 in the VR6 vs the golf's miserly 2.8!.....

best handling car i've ever had and very happy at 135 on the motorway. allegedly.:D

135!?!?!? I would have never taken it up to that speed, LOL!!! Yeah right!!

Why not change your superb for a 2.8 petrol elegance-a good compromise between the 2 cars?

or take it to jabbasport and have it beet the 2.8 and still get 50mpg?

baker21, i can't believe you've spent this much time and effort making the outside look so damn good without having the remap...! seriously!

I know what your saying mate but do you think that remapping a Superb with 115k on the clock is a good idea?!?!?

Why not?

Why not?
I am not convinced that it would do the engine any good and would I get any form of warranty with a remap?

I mean I assume when you get a remap you get 6 months warranty or something?

This engine is one of the best sounding engines...
