Mk 1 Octavia VRS Alloy locknuts

Featured Replies

Evening

Its been a long journey home, I had a puncture with a mile of the house got to the side of the road, and was made up to find a another alloy and tyre in the boot (was expecting a spacesaver style wheel) The joy was shortlived as I got most of the bolts off and then realised there was a lock bolt on there,So rooted through the car to no avail. Bought the car 2nd hand arrrrggghh.

So are these fitted as standard to VRS alloys if so any suggestions where i can get my hands on the fitting to get the wheel off???

Cheers Steve

what does the lock nut look like ? spline type of hole ? or something totally different .

It appears to be smooth on the exterior, the inside of the bolt has is knurled which looks like it should be fitted with an alun key device, so the "key" would fit into this.

Sounds like a standard Skoda Lock nut...........Dealer I think, Code needed I think for a new one

The lock nut key should fit onto the end of the Standard Octavia Wheel Brace, the key then fits into the Locking wheel nut..........Code Deffo needed for a new one.......[ I think ].PS look in the Hand book the code maybe written down. check the wheel well in the boot......Loose piece of paper

I bought my octavia 2nd hand and after being assured by previous owner that nut key was with car and spending several days looking - I found it balanced under the plastic trim up the end of the front passenger seat rail! In other words - look absolutely everywhere.
