Am playing with the idea of retro-fitting a Skoda sat nav unit to the Octy vRS, and am trying to find out what the differences are between the A and B version of the unit. Anyone know?

I'm not 100% on the differences in the Skoda versions but the VW A and B are to be avoided I think.

There was a discussion on here last week or so Q, where I think someone did mention the differences.

Try the VWnavi forum they have descriptions of many of them there.

I put a VW version G into my Dads Fabia a couple of weeks ago, nice little unit - not as functional as the MFD2 but still very useful.

Are VW A/B the same part numbers as Skoda A/B? If they are not, then that's ok, as I wouldn't want to have a VW branded sat nav unit in the car anyway.

I don't think the VW ones are the same from what I read on here. I can't be sure though.

The latest Superbs etc come with a Version B so I would summise that it would be equivelant to a VW version G.

So that would make the B version to go for then (being latest)... Unless the only difference is the steering wheel interface/maxi dot integration? Someone with a Superb able to confirm?
