Why are you posting again when you've asked this already?

"ddouble din head unit"

the thing that allways troubles me about removing car radios is that, when you do it, there's allways about 20 miniutes worth of pulling and pushing, screwdrivering and swearing... and the bugger still wont come out.....

but when some thievingtoe-rag has a go, it's out in 10 seconds flat!!

anyway, i digress.... you need some removal key/tools which cost about a fiver

Not to mention cut thumbs etc! See my guide about vent removal

Tis true though, 20 mins installing, 20mins to set up, 10 seconds for a twocker to whip it out.

You will need two OEM removal keys for the stereo, you should be able to see two rectagular slots on the headunit that they slide into.

The headunit then just pulls out and can be disconnected.

The drawer is literally held in with push fit ribs and once the head unit is out you just pull the drawer out by it's housing.

Simple.........

Others have used strips of credit card and some have used hacksaw blades (right size+ shape).

Tom, my cage for my radio has pins which push oout as normal, however there isnt much there for the pins to secure into so I think that I will drill some holes so that the pins are bent a bit better around. Should stall the theiving buggers for about 5 more seconds!
