Can anyone advise on how to remove the CD autochanger from the boot of an 06 octavia. I have disconnected the lead at the other end and replaced it with an adaptor for an MP3 connector and would now like to use the space in the boot for a PC or DVD mount.

I have poked at it with a screw driver and a bit of coat hanger but it seems stuck fast, they are built pretty well these Skodas.

you need a 20 size star drive and a small socket adaptor for it go into halfords and look for one and it will unscrew that is the easiest way

If you mean just sliding out the changer from the bracket before you detach the whole bracket then autoleads european radio removal keys work (halfords). Insert them into the slots at a 45 angle toward the centre of the unit and level outward to compress the springs. The unit then slides straight out.
