07 VRS did i see right?

Featured Replies

well last nite popped into my local dealer (sherlodge garage) to get my new side vent and noticed a nice shiny about to be delivered vrs

looked at it and something seem right went closer noticed its got colour coded handles and if eyes didnt deceive me colour coded door bumper trims is this now an option? if so can these be ordered now as spares? the car in question was in silver

I think these are (at last!!!) now standard! :D Suspect the parts are orderable, but it might be just as easy/cheap to get them sprayed yourself at a local body shop or by buying a made-to-match spray can at Halfords....

Yeah they're standard on the vRS now......... Sods law it came 8 months too late for me........ I really wanted a silver vRS but didn't want the black handles etc...... And reeaaally couldn't be bothered to get them sprayed myself etc..... I got my car in black pearl, which was my second choice, but it's grown on me since........ The having to wash it every week because it's black and looks a mess bit still hasn't grown on me yet though. :D :D

Cheers

Dave.

Got colour coded door handles on MY07 but not door rub strips

I'm thinking of removing my rubbing strips. I've had a look but they look like to be set in concrete. Any advice about removal anyone. I dont have access to fishing line......(I've read that thread)

i took a mates off on a corsa with a plastic ruler and then cleaned up the bodywork with panel wipe.

Same here, still my cars black so not much to notice.

However with any colour coded part these days like bump strips and bumpers how many of us use them to actually bump with? (unless you park like a Frenchman!)

They look nicer but are not practical day to day use when colour coded (apart from crashes of course) more like don't park near me you'll scratch it!

We were having a delivery of golfs and on the same lorry were a variaty of different fabias... all had colour coded bits.

  • 1 month later...

recieved my 07 plate fabia vRS yesterday and the door handles are colour coded but the bump strips are still black, which i think looks abit out of place.

Typically how much would people expect to pay to get just their door handles painted....Over here in Ireland, I rang up a few places and most wanted

I think it will vary ,the door handles on early cars are easier to dismantle than the later ones , although I do not know when the 'changeover' takes place.

Well on my red vrS I think that the black door bumper strips contrast well with the red paint. Especially when the car is waxed and polished and I use back to black on the door bumpers.
