Does anyone know what sort of sealent I should use to seal split rims wheels. I am going to split my rims today. Theres a pdf document on google about rebuilding split rims and using silicone acetate sealent.

Any ideas where I can buy this from?

go down the local B+Q and check the labels on the tubes of sealant there , there may be some that have silicon acetate in them , worth a try anyway

Ive just split my rims because im loosing tyre pressure, they need resealing. Any idea on what sort of sealent to use.

The wheels are compomotive split rims 3 piece.

I have just took them apart below is a pic of the sealent.

Once the rims were removed there are 2 gaskets either side of the centre piece which are in good condition and just need cleaning up, below is a pic.

Now Ive found these bbs wheels on ebay if you look there is no seal where there is on mine?

And this one with a metal band, looks odd?
