Engine Problem.

Featured Replies

Whilst pulling out of a junction I heard a loud "pop" and at first I thought I'd run over something but after about 200 yards the car started chugging and lost a lot of power, I pulled over and checked around the car and couldn't see anything ( I'm not a mechanic), as there was no warning light on the dashboard and I was only a half mile from my house I took it easy going home, the car felt like 60 bhp instead of 160! I took it to a diesel specialist and after a brief look he said the problem was a pipe from the turbo that had came off! Has anyone had a similar promblem? Is this a common occurence on the 2.5 tdi? Thanks! ( My car is a 2.5 tdi Elegance with all extras by the way and I love it!)

yeah, popping a pipe off from a turbo or intercooler is fairly commonplace, not much to worry about really.... it's those stupid bloody clips that skoda use to secure them, they are rubbish..... whenever it happens on any of my cars i replace the clips with proper jubilee clips
