Superb gone

Featured Replies

Well, after 3 months and 3000 miles I have swapped my 2.0tdi for an Octavia Vrs (petrol).

So what did I think of the car....

+ives

Good fuel economy for a big car - average 45mpg

Really comfy - 8 hour journey on Tuesday (no break at all) and got out feeling fine

Pretty nippy - good in gear acceleration

Great for passengers

Sat Nav was actually Ok despite my initial reservations

Full of toys on standard spec (elegance model)

Not much really...only things I had an issue with were steering a little heavy (OK for me, not too got for my wife) & gearbox a little clunky in 2nd gear.

I guess you could ask why change?? Well I needed to get a new car quickly as my last one was stolen and I wanted something discrete on the drive for a while. I now do less miles and we have a Fabia VRS for distance so fuel no longer an issue, hence the change to something a little sportier.

Overall a positive ownership experience & I would thoroughly reccomend the Superb.

PS. If anyone is looking to buy one from a Yorkshire dealer I know where there is one sale that has been run in gently :)

PPS. Thanks to all for help with my queries over the last few months - it's a very helpful forum!
