Can't listen to the radio.....

Featured Replies

...but the cassette player works fine.

I have a Y reg 1.9 sdi Furby, with the standard factory radio/cassette player, an MS202.

Over the year or so that I have had the car, the radio reception has gone downhill so that now I cannot listen to the radio. The cassette player works as it should.

Should I be looking for a new radio, or is something with the aerial or co-ax?

I have swapped the aerial with one from an Octavia (my wife's car, not one in the car park:D ), but that made no difference.

Cheers

There is an amplifier for the AM side of the radio ...I think in the base of the ariel ...but it shouldn't affect the FM stations......if it doesn't work it is just as cheap to get an aftermarket radio/cd fitted and have a better sound as well
