Help with alarm installation needed

Featured Replies

Hi, ppl.

Really nice place you got here... hehe :)

Anyways, i need some info on connecting an aftermarket alarm to Fabia.

Maybe schematics or smt ...

I've almost finished the installation - but have 3 problems.

First of all, my alarm goes off EXACTLY half an hour after being armed, and the remote shows that the door was opened.

I think it's because the wire i connected too has an auto-off function or smt.

Is there any way to bypass the auto-off ?

Second of all, i'm having troubles connecting the door-lock. I wanted to connect to the door lock switch in the drivers door but it seems like it doesnt have power after the doors were locked from the outside ...

What are the exact wires i have to connect to?

And the third one - i couldn find where to connect the windows up/down.

The wire i found looses power after the doors were locked...

Again, what are the right wires to connect to ?

Please help ASAP, this damn alarm drives me nuts.

Welcome to Briskoda, PiCaChOo. :D It might help to know which model Fabia you have, whether it is left hand drive, and which market (country) it was built to be sold in. Oh, and which alarm are you fitting?

Hi picachoo, yes your right about the door pin switch wires, they do go to ground after a period of time after the doors are locked, this can sometimes be avoided by connecting the alarm trigger wire to the switch wire where it connects to the door light but if it doesnt work or you havent got door lights then you have to put a resistor in the alarm trigger wire the one you need is either 2.4 or 2.7 ohms,as for the cdl it is connected on one wire which is usually blue/green if you wire the alarm for negative type locking and connect the lock wire to the blue/green and the unlock wire to the blue/green through a 100-150 ohm resistor it should work fine and you can usually extend the lock pulse time on alarms to 25 seconds then this should activate the total closure feature, this info is just a guideline for you to work from i cannot guarantee it will work and all wires should be checked carefully, the info i have is notes made from a job done on a fabia in the past and it may have been a different model or age to yours so things could have changed since then so if you damage your car or alarm then i accept no responsibility for this, you have been warned

10x for fast reply, guys :)

My Furby is a left hand drive 2004 1.4 16v(as stated in my profile, btw... hehe) , bought in Israel. The alarm i'm fitting is from a local company MUL-T-LOCK( i doubt u ever heard of it, but it's considered to be the best alarm availiable here).

Any additional info/tips about the installation is more then welcome...
