New rear pads/disc - Handbrake not that good?

Featured Replies

Recently changed the rear pads and discs (600 miles ago) now the handbrakes is poo. The lever makes around 4 clicks with is ok. When on level ground with the handbrake on you can't drive off. But if you wanted to pull the handbrake at speed (say 1 point turn ;) ) it does bugger all.

What have I forgot to do

also fluid has been changed.

Pads and discs not bedded in?

Was thinking that as the rears dont get used that much like the front. Might adapt the ferodo bedding in process to the handbrake :)

Spend a day in Don's company and he'll bed them in for you ;) Not sure he'd help your mpg problem though!

Mine handbrake to a few hundred mile before it started to get a good grip of the new discs.
