I'm slowly going over the car and puttiong my stuff into it and I loaded up the CD magazine today. When I tried the stereo it came up with the message mechanic and nothing played. is this something easy to sort or do I need to take it to the dealer??

The cassete and the radio work fine.

Its very very common problem a good blow out of the changer and make sure the discs are as clean as you can get them.

You will see "mechanical" and "surface" alot.

When it happens to me, i just take out the magazine give the magazine and changer a blow, re insert magazine.

If the blow doesn't work a cleaning cd usually does:)
