Fitting time/cost for rear brake pads....

Featured Replies

Just had new rear brake pads fitted by the main dealer in Nottingham, following on from a service a couple of weeks ago.

Cost of pads was, I think, reasonable at

I reckon they can be changed in 30 minutes, but to do a proper job (bit of a clean up, grease up etc), including time getting on and off the ramp etc, 1hr is about right. :) £108 for a rear pad change isn't diabolical imho.

You need a special winding tool to do the rear change. I cant remember what I paid for my pads from GSF car parts but I recon it was around £25. Took about 30 mins to do the change once I figured out about the need for the winding tool.
