Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Quick question on the parking sensors. When I engage reverse I get the normal bleeping sound, but now there is a more audible noise that continues to sound for about 2 second duration with around a 5 second gap between. This carries on until reverse gear is deselected. Anyone any ideas?. Car is up for service and has been for around 2000 miles, are they connected?, it's not the service reminder, that's already had it's bleep before I move.

Thanks

Mark

I've heard that dirt can cause trouble like this from other forum users...are they dirty???

If you do a search on the forums a few people have had problems with parking sensors. For a couple of days mine would give a long bleep and then nothing. Apparently this sound is given when there is a problem with the parking sensors. Two days after that and they started working again?!? Took it to the dealer who diagnosed a faulty sensor. Will be getting it changed under warranty.

Sounds like a faulty sensor - I have had three changed in as many months.
