Warranty on replacement parts

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the warranty period is on genuine skoda replacement parts?

I had parking sensors replaced under warranty, and now 14 months later they are at it again. Don't really think it is acceptable.

Any thoughts?

Quote from SkodaOctavia Service Schedule booklet:

Skoda Dealers in Europe offer a 12-month warranty on all Genuine Parts from the date of installation or sale. The invoice of the Skoda Dealer should be kept for this period as proof of the date on which warranty commences.

if the car's still under warranty, get them to replace them again :)

Cheers folks

If it was still under warranty i wouldn't be asking any questions. :(

out of warranty by 2 months, and they were replaced in march 06 :(

Looks like I'll be well out of pocket, any idea by how much?

Parts replaced under warranty are covered until the warranty on the car expires. With accessories fitted at PDI they were covered as for the new car warranty, if they were fitted after the car had been on the road then they were covered for a year. Best get in touch with Skoda customer services and see if you can get a good will contribution.
