Anyone else with a 1.9 DTi auto find it very throaty in engine note, this put me off one a week before I bought the one i have now, manual doesn't seem to do it and the auto is defo more roary.

Cars with auto gearboxes and 4 cyl. engines have a different EGR valve which seems to change the engine note. I wonder why they had to do this - the auto EGR valves are water cooled and not very reliable.

Our friends in the US (where most vehicles are autos) seem to have no end of trouble with them.

I've just had mine replaced last week, along with one side of the horn pad that wasn't working, now I have the pedal vibe going on as well, it's not a good start to my ownership experience, but hopefully when I get it all sorted the car will prove to have been a good purchase.

Still makes an F1 roar when pushed btw, annoying thing is I blew out an Elegance model that was
