Hi all

A newbie here and looking to potentially purchase a VRS Fabia.

Anyone else from this end of the country? Can anyone recommend the best dealer from this area as there are a few skoda garages within a 20 mile radius of my location.

thanks

Si

hi and welcome.. im sure some 1 will be along soon to answer your questions.... ;)

Hello from from down the M62.

Dealers you got Alex Lawrie, liverpool and Mitchells over the water. Not sure if theirs other.

Personally use AL as their local. Nice people. Always get good service.

AL seems to have positive comments on the dealers subforum. I have been to Cheshire Oaks already but I remain uncommited to buy with them until I look around other dealers.

Nice to meet you all

Welcome to Briskoda

I'm still trying to find a decent answer to that myself, since Gorner's closed. It's not such a big deal for me, as I already have the car, and it's not necessary to service them at main dealers anymore. But my warranty's up in September, so I'll be looking to take it in to a main dealer to get it the once-over while it's still covered (and before its first MoT, of course!) I'm currently thinking Claybank, as my experiences of their service department have been pretty positive - certainly better than Grasmere in Macc or Horner's in Manchester. I've heard good things about AL, but it's too far for me to justify travelling to Liverpool seeing how I live in Manchester.

I can heartily recommend Awesome GTI in Irlam for all your non-warranty servicing and parts (and wallet-draining! ;):D )

Hey Ap0gee, nice to meet you.

Have you heard much about chapel house skoda up wigan? I have been in contact with them too and may be popping over mid week to try and sort out a deal. Where is Claybank situated?

Irlam is just down the road from me so I'll be sure to check that place out when and IF i get the vrs.

Cheers

Nice to meet you, too!

I don't have any experience of Chapel House, so if you've not found anything on the dealers' sub-forum, I can't really help, I'm afraid... Claybank are either side of J11 of the M60 (the showroom's on the west side and the service / parts department on the east side) As for Awesome, you won't go wrong for servicing and mods, but you'll need to keep an eye on your wallet, as they have many many clever ways of separating you from your hard-earned cash!:D

omg I went and did it today and put down a deposit for the VRS SE at Alex Lawrie's In Liverpool. Delivery in 10 days time.

Hey Apogee, I just realised Awesome GTI are down the road...tempting but I think i'll give it a couple years before I start doing anything major to it, maybe some facial mods and debadge would be cool though.
