Is it possible to manually deactivate the front passnger side airbag in my 2003 Superb Comfort?

I can find a mention of switching it off in the handboook, but it doesn't seem to tell you how to actually do it.

Is it something that can only be done by a dealer?

Like I said, info in handbook pretty sketchy, so thereforr not sure. Where would I be looking for a deactivation switch, in the glovebox?, and is it a key operated type switch I'd be looking for?

The deactivation switch would be in the glove box but I also seem to remember that it's on the left of your Sat Nav unit mate where I assume you have a blanking switch?!?!?

I remember this as when I replaced my blanking switches with working switches this was one of the options I could have replaced it with....

Cheers Buddy. Looks like a trip to the Stealers is on the cards! Any idea if you can retro-fit the requried switch.

No you cant retrofit the switch.

And the blanking plate would be for the light to tell you the airbag is deactivted.
