Bulb change

Featured Replies

OK need a hand here Superb buffs.

I think this is a common problem made difficult by a crammed, small area!!

Driving home tonight and I got a beep and a message on the maxidot screen telling me of a light failure.

Evidently the main headlight bulb on the passenger side has blown:mad:

This happened a while back on the drivers side and the dealer done the job for a tenner.

Anyway, am I able to do the bulb change without going to the garage again...it seems so petty.

But, the power steering fluid reservoir is in the way and it looks like the whole light needs unscrewing and removing, but that seems too simple.

Can anyone shed any light....no pun intended:P

The trick is to remove the clip-on cover for the PAS reservoir. This is tight and the best way to do it it get your fingers around and under the neck of the reservoir where the cover is actually attached front and rear. It's tight, but if you pull the two clips apart it comes off easily. If you still need more space, remove the two M6 bolts (10 AF hex head) holding the reservior bracket to the wing. Don't disconnect any pipes.

You're lucky - the main beam is the "easy" one.

rotodiesel.

Take the cap of 1st though:thumbup:

Don't take the cap off. It's not necessary and you risk polluting the fluid.

Yep, stands corrected, had to nip out and check though, I took it off because I wasn't sure the cover would come off when I did it, but it should do.
