I''ve booked the car in locally to have the fluid changed before Bruntingthorpe and have bought the Castrol RS fluid as TaviaRS recommended.

Can you advise exactly how much I'll need if the garage drains properly and refills - I have a 1 litre plus a 200ml top up container. Enough or not ?

The whole system contains EDIT: 1.7 litres, although some of that is in difficult-to-access chambers IIRC. I suggest you plan on having 1500ml to hand.

I used about 1.2 L changing mine the other day allowing the fluid to change colour at each corner. You might even get away with less if (as I didn't) you remember to siphon some of the fluid out of the reservoir before starting. Others reckon you should use a full 2 L though.

System capacity is 1.7 litres
