Hello from Norway :-)

:)

Thought I'd introduce myself..

I'm JonA, I'm from Norway, and I work at a Skoda dealer outside Oslo, the Capital of Norway as a technician. A very nice place to work with only 11 or so nice and very knowledgeble co. workers, and lot's of customers :)

I just recently switched to Skoda after having worked with VW and Audi since 1992. That means I have very little knowledge of Skoda specific stuff, but I know a bit about things that the VAG brands have in common. I try to get better at Skoda stuff every day, and the difference between the brands really isn't that big. :) I'm sorry I missed the switch to CR diesel, but I hope Skoda will get the common rail system in their diesels as well before not to long.

I just ordered a White New Fabia Sport (2 in UK speak??) 1,9 TDI with a particle filter (which is standard on this car when delivered in Norway) with the following options:

-cruise control

-rear parking assistance

-electric windows in the passenger compartment

-8 speakers

-height adjustable co pilot seat

-carpet floor mats

-maxi dot

-TPM

-Sun set rear windows

-heated windscreen washer "thingies" or nozles (I don't know how to spell them)

-curve adaptive headlights

-storage compartments under front seats

-climatronic

-sun roof

The car is due for production in week 41 (next week :D :D :D :D :D:thumbup: )

I have ordered a 35mm lowering kit from Eibach, a "diffuser"/rear bumper panel, and a "sports exhaust" from the Skoda accessories range. (I hope to get the part, and then see what it actually is on monday after having waited a bit over 4 weeks for it to arrive) I'm afraid the exhaust is just a "bolt-on" item with no exhaust exiting, but it's better than having my new car looking like an electrical vehicle with no exhaust :thumbdwn:

I attended the official launch of the New Fabia in CZ and was a bit disapointed with the look of it, but after having seen it sober (which I was NOT in CZ) in our sales department in the right colours (corrida red with a white roof looks very good on this car) , it looks really good! (My car will be the first i have seen in Candy white, so I'm VERY curious about how it will look) The good old Fabia is still a great car, but i don't understand the hate you guys have for the look of the new Fabia.. Any car that is delivered on springs that are meant only to make EURO NCAP people happy is bound to look awkward? I will post pictures of mine with my car fitted with proper wheels and springs, and I hope some of you will change your minds :)

Enjoy!!

:) :)
