Any Mark 3 Golf Owners or old owners on here, ice query

Featured Replies

I'm in the process of fitting a sub and amp to my mates mark 3 golf but cannot locate a suitable earthing point in the rear of the car.

Can anybody help, apart from that everything else seems to be fine with all the other wiring.

Cheers in advance

Erm, the bodywork?

I'd guess a loop fastener on one of the seat bolts would do just fine otherwise.

Cheers mate, when I installed it on my last car we done it to a earth cable on the back of the car but could not see one on the golf.

I'd drill a hole tbh, get a better contact that way. Just don't drill through the petrol tank,

I'll leave that to my mate I think, I said I would only help him fit it, he can do any drilling in case theres any comeback.

Should be an earth point near one of the rear light clusters.

I personally would just sand the paint down beneath the eat bolt rather than drilling a fresh hole, but then I just don't like drilling holes in cars.
