For a 50% mix 3 litres will do it and give protection beyond the lowest temperatures that we will see in this country. To bleed it just fill it up and run it at tickover until the fan cuts in, topping up as necessary.

50/50 will give you plenty of protection,make sure heater is on hot when you run it up

I'd use 50/50, not so much for low temperature protection (but remember wind chill; it can make the effective temperature in a just started vehicle engine bay way lower than the nominal ambient), as for the corrosion protection it offers.
