Looking to upgrade my front components but not sure on what size will fit etc!

I am looking to fit some 16cm/16.5cm ones!

Will I need these adaptors (dont wanna be messing around with MDF!)?

I am going to use flashing tape as a sound deadener.

Also what is the MAXIMUM mounting depth that will fit?

Most I've seen are around 63mm or 65mm in mounting depth such as these

Do the Fabia standard speakers has a built in crossover like my Corsa Ones did?

As with my Corsa I cut the wires to the bottom woofer, wired these wires into the cross over then ran the cable from the crossovers to the woofer and tweeter!

The old tweeter cables were taped up out of use.

Not sure sorry. Mine new speakers are currently sat in the box (job for the weekend ) so i have not taken the old ones out yet. I assume they just have an inline crossover (i.e. a resistor type device which stops low frequencies going to the tweeter.) Skudmissile will be able to answer for you.

If you're going for components, best to invest in a BFO amp as well, IMO. You'll lose 2-3 db of sensitivity with a passively crossovered component set.

Can't recall where I read that now but it's lost in the x-over somewhere.
