symphony radio code

Featured Replies

I sold mine on ebay and sent a 4 digit code I found inside a clear keyring type holder in the glovebox.

However I have recieved an email saying this doesnt work.

Where can I find the code?

The number you gave him was your 4 digit Security Key Code (SKC)

You need the SK/serial number from the radio and then get the code from a dealer.

Better to tell your buyer to take it to SKoda and give him £15 back.

If the radio came out of your car you could ask your dealer for the code. My dealer got me a code recently for a CD player that I bought on eBay as I had the reg and VIN number of the original car, and didn't charge for doing it either. I guess it depends how well you know the dealer.

I have a little sticker inside my symphony handbook which I think (hope) is my security code? Has a long number at the top and under it a 4 digit code?

Ive had same trouble. Ive just sold fabia but having put original radio back in it doesnt work and the code doesnt work either, if i take it to skoda Preston will they be able to sort it for me tomorow morning you think. (Is it a big job for them to get code!?)

The code on the key fob isn't your radio code.

It isn't a big job but if it isn't written down then it needs to be plugged into the diagnostics machine.

Hi al I have a similiar problem, my skoda radio is displaying a small number two in the window on the left, with the letters "SAFE" displayed! I want to know how do you rest the radio to enter the right code?

Do a site search for Radio Manual, and look at the more recent threads; the Skoda manuals are available as PDFs.

I had a problem with mine for weeks, I was going to replace it but came accross a thing to try. turn ignition and radio on then press and hold the TP? button for 10/15 secs. Did nothing on mine but I then turned off the ignition (radio still powered on) when I went back to the car an hour later to try something else it worked when I turned the ignition on?
