Haldex ECU upgrade

Awesome GTI Store UK - Haldex

This is mainly aimed at anyone with direct experience of this upgrade on the 4x4's.

I've got a general idea of how it works and what to potentially expect (roughly.. sort of..), but anyone who can give first hand experience / reports would be appreciated, especially from people who have had remaps / subsequent turbo (bigger units) upgrades. Can you 'feel' a difference in the way it accelerates and corners or is it more of a 'behind the scenes' mod?

Any ideas appreciated.

been there and done everything you've mentioned mate and i'd say its well worth while :)

it gets off the line better and quicker, understeers less as it puts power to the back quicker and also puts more there.

what the replacement ecu does is react to throttle input rather than wheel slip so brings in the rears as you stamp your foot down rather than waiting for the fronts to lose traction and it also puts more to the back and quicker.

definitly worth while, if mine was working i'd happily let you drive it but sadly i haven't actually got it fixed yet :o

ive heard some good things about these.
