Funny Noise on Clutch Application

Hi,

A couple of days ago I started getting a loud rattle/tick noise when the clutch was pushed down as the car moved. It only seems to happen while the engine is cold and disappears when it has warmed up. It is quite loud - I can hear it clearly over the radio and seems to come from the driver's side engine/wheel area. I've checked for fault codes and there aren't any coming up and to make it worse my car is a month out of warranty so I can't take it back and ask them to have a look.

Any ideas?
