Fitting Sub - hit a brick wall...

Featured Replies

Ok so I got my sub and amp (pyramid), my wiring kit. Only problem is that my Stereo (Sony MEX-BT2500) doesn't have seperate sub outputs. Does anyone have any idea how (if its possible) I can wire a sub into my car stereo without the dedicated sub outputs from my stereo?

Does your sub have a crossover, and is it active?

By the way, what do you think of the BT2500?

I really like it, the sound quality is good and its really swish being able to have blue tooth. I do have to raise my voice some time to be heard. Also the ability to stream music from my phone is great.

As for whether it it has crossover and if its active, I'm afraid you'll have to explain what those terms are for.

Bump - I really would like to know if this is or isn't doable. If it isn't I'll have to sell the sub etc.

You can take a feed from the rear speaker outputs and use these as inputs for the amp.

Does the amp have any settings like 20-100hz or something like x-over or -18db or something similar

still needs a crossover though

If it's a 12" it'll be ok without a crossover. Won't be particularly bassy, but it'll give a bit of oomph.

Its a 12" sub yes. So If i feed from the rear speakers to sub input I should get life. Tbh I don't want it too bassy, a bit of "oomph" was just what I'm looking for. I'll check the amp and get back to you on what exactly I have (I know nothing about wireing car sound systems.)

Cheers for the responses thus far.

Ok Final question. It there a hole already for the power on the fabia? Or will I need to make one?
