Sound Upgrade Advise

Featured Replies

I'm wanting to improve the Audio within my mk1 octi. I've allready upgraded the front speakers and looking to replace my rear speakers too. I've only got the stock headunit but now have an adaptor to attach a sub/amp (Thanks Tom_vrs). I've just been given a Bomber 300watt sub and by the looks of it, it has seen better days.

I'm not after mega bass I just want a much clearer sound with more bass than standard. I can't have masses of kit in the boot as I still need to keep the car practical for the Dog & my youngest's pushchair, money is also tight.

Should I

A. Buy a new amp and connect it all up and hope the sub works?

B. Buy a disposable audio system http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3224.html

C. Buy all the bits seperatly but end up with a potentially better audio system.

I've got an Infinity Basslink II

Nice kick from the 250w 10" sub

and you can get an addon amplifier which slots into the side and pumps out 4x35wrms or 2x70wrms to power speakers.

happy days!

costs about £120
