Hi, i'm from Dominican Republic, i want to buy a used 2006 octavia with a 1.6 mpi motor, the price is very low, but the car have ~83000 Kms, what should i see so i have no surprises in the future.

That's about 52k miles which is nothing to be honest in this day and age. I would however suggest loking at a diesel variant instead of a 1.6 - better economy and better performance.

i would buy a diesel, but with the price of a diesel i can buy the equivalent of almost 2 of these cars, that's why i want to buy this one, i don't know if the guy have economic problems or what, but he is selling it for about 70% of the normal price

I don't know about mpg for these - perhaps 40 - 42 mpg? I am sure someone will be able to advise.

Remember though if a deal looks to good to be true then it probably is.
