Loss of Power Query

Featured Replies

Guys

A bit of advice for a newbie please.

Got a new 170BHP TDI VRS Hatch on the 1st of march.

Really enjoying this great car,but I feel I have lost a bit of power in 2nd and 3rd.

I have driven it fairly hard but have not been redlining it, have filled it with shell power diesel and generally took good care of it.

It might be me as this is my first performance car, but it felt sharper and more responsive in 2nd and 2nd into 3rd. Now it still feels great, but feels less sharp, nosier (more gruntier which sounds nice) but dont know if the noise is bad and has effected performance!

Also I have noticed sometimes the whistling of the turbo is very noticeable and sometimes it is quiet.

As I say, I am not experienced and its probably me, but I just wanted some advice off people who know and whether I need to take it into the garage to get checked out

Cheers

Sam

I always find I just get used to how quick my cars are to the point where they don't feel as quick as they used to if that makes sense?

Still might be worth checking your air filter as they do get dirty quick i find and the replacement times are too long i think.

I'd be suprised if this was the problem but maybe worth checking I suppose. Why don't you try having a test drive in another VRs to compare?
