As above really - 2006 2.0 TDi Ambiente. Not certain from the handbook whether it has an oil level sensor or just oil pressure sensor.

Tend to be a bit lazy with my E46 330Ci and not check the oil level as often as I should, aware that I will get an amber oil light if I am careless enough to let it drop too low.

Just added 0.5l to the Octy for the 1st time in the 10,000 miles we've covered in it.

Nobody know the answer?

Does everyone just check their oil levels religously?

Yes your car with have an oil level/quaility sensor as your car does/can run variable servicing.

Thanks Lummox. Gives me a bit of reassurance if I've failed to notice the oil level was getting low.
