Hi Guys, I decided to treat myself to a Zenec ZE-DAB60 unit to integrate directly into my ZE-NC2011D, the DAB unit came with one of these film antennas that you stick on the windscreen. I had a quick play with this and managed to pick up 15 stations, I don't have the best DAB coverage at home. I thought to solve the problem I would buy a FM/AM > DAB splitter from an auction site... The splitter came with 1 x Fakra male connector, 1 x SMA connector, 1 x Fakra female connector & a 12v feed cable. I tried the splitter this morning but I was unable to get any FM/AM OR DAB using it, as you are probably aware the Octavia FM/AM aerials have the dual fakra connectors and not just singular and I didn't know if this was causing an issue. Are the aerials amplified or powered at all?? I have a FL Skoda Octavia Mk2 (2012) SO after all that, am I wasting my time with trying to utilise the existing FM/AM antenna for DAB? What's the best solution for receiving DAB in a car, I don't particularly want to have to remove the roof lining to run a new aerial... Any advise welcome as I'm about to tear my hair out! The fascia has arrived and mannyo you are rights its the wrong fascia. I'm not beat yet though, the shape is perfect for the corners so I'm in the process of using my Dermel to gently sand the fascia back into the correct shape. I think there is a good couple of hours work in getting it into shape. For 10 quid its worth chopping it up! I'll try and remember to post pics when I'm finished. Rob

Evening, I'm looking for some advise with my Zenec ZE-NC2011d install please. Basically I've finally installed my Zenec 2011d after my original Zenec got stolen but that's a whole other story... The head unit is installed and everything is working fine, it's just the cosmetics now. https://truck.it/p/Pf6_D0VaeI From the picture (link attached) you can see that the head unit is just a standard double din fitment not shaped like the Bolero or Columbus units. I've seen a couple of YouTube videos that show what look to be full replacement facias and wondered where I could get one for my 2012 FL Octavia. If you need any other photos just let me know. There are some days that I wish I hadn't bought a white car but at least you can see where you haven't washed. I wouldn't class myself as a DW veteran, I do like the work that those guys do, I am a big fan. Didn't manged to get the car washed today as I've been struggling with Zenec 2011D install. Got it all installed and went for a drive to test the Sat Nav as I've hidden the GPS antenna under the dash, when playing music on the way back I was getting a stupid amount of static feedback through on the drivers side speakers. I ripped it all out mounted the Bolero back in and the problem went away, reconnected the Zenec, same problem again. After I'd fitted the Bolero back in I noticed I still had the cable in the Aux port and it was touching ground. I'm gonna strip dash back out tomorrow and then try it again. I've not really looked into remaps just yet, I use to have a DTUK ECO3 on the Astra but sold that, whats sort of bhp do you get out of a remapped Octavia?

I went for the 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp. The car is White and I've bought some black neptune alloys and I currently have my winter tyres fitted to them. Pictures will come tomorrow after I've cleaned it with snow foam and all the other chemicals I have kicking around in the garage.

Hi Guys, Finally decided last month that I would treat myself to a 2012 FL Skoda Octavia vRS, I've always liked the look of them and my old Vauxhall Astra was starting to show its age. So far really happy with the car, fuel consumption is far superior to the 1.9 Astra! I'm currently installing a Zenec NC2011d as I had a Zenec in the old car and was so impressed with it I've bought one for this already. I was after a bit of advice from other Zenec owners as to where they have run their USB upgrade / iPod cable. On a separate note I've also got a fully registered version of VCDS so if anyone near York needs any coding doing just let me know and I should be able to assist. Hopefully the first of many posts from me. Rob
