  1. I have spoken to someone at Skoda via livechat about cambelt change. They confirmed that on 1st july 2023 their interval pplicy had changed to a lifetime one and cambelt should be changed after 15yrs or 140k-160k miles. I had my belt changed in 2019 aft 88k miles and currently sit at 157k so hence why i enquired. They ensured me that i dont need to change my belt til i had done 140k miles from when i changed my belt in 2019. 🤔
  2. I have a white black edition octavia estate and after car wash the guys freaked out and said something had happened to my wheels and that they had changed colour! They now appear to look like the colour has faded. The owner said uts never happened before and he spoke to the manufacturer of the cleaning stuff and they said my wheels couldnt have been lacquered 🤔. The owner spent most of today polishing the wheels and managed to get one nearly back to what they looked like. Ive also noticed the roof rail bars look faded too! Ive uploaded a couple of pics. The faded one is the drivers side front and the blacker one is the nearside rear. Both offside wheels look more faded. Any help would be appreciated
  3. My octavia estate interior light does not come on when i unlock open or close car and doors anymore. The interior lights work when you press the buttons. Any ideas?
  4. Hi i need to replace my rear washer nozzle and its located in the taillight on top of the boot below the spoiler. Do i need to replace the tail light unit or can i just get a new nozzle? Thanks in advance
  5. yup think ill get water pump done at same time! car costing quite a bit this month with garage visits! maybe persuade skoda to code the amundsen unit i got at same time! my skoda dealer is £539 water pump and cambelt
  6. I got text from skoda saying my cambelt is due to be replaced. I have a 2014 octavia 1.6tdi estate and has done 86k. Im under impression cambelt was needed done after 5 years or 100k. Should u replace it now or wait til i reach 100k?
  7. Mine used to switch off. Freeze and now bust so have had to get new control unit!
  8. Can i be dumb and ask what the heck this regen malarkey is all about? From what i can tell noone really knows whats better. I put in morrisons fuel when im low and passing but will put in a little then get esso later. Know guys who work at the refinery at Grangemouth and say theres little difference as all tankers fill up from same pipes then its what the companies put in or dont that makes the difference and even then they are quite secretive about it. One mate has always used Bp ultimate fuel and has never had bother with his cars so dunno if that says anything.
  9. sounds like your the snowflake lol if he wants to hide the plate number let em!
  10. I know thread is about columbus but my amundsen mib1 control unit stopped working and have got a 2nd hand one from a user on here but will need fitting and coding. Is this something u can do or help advise with? Thanks
  11. Same problem with mine as my 9yr old broke it. Went to the dealer and they said £150!!!!
  12. Just fill up. Not worth the dilema of running dry just to save 5p on cr@ppy fuel from morrisons!
