  1. I'm looking on e-bay. I need a replacement but there's so many different descriptions...which one is required and will pass MOT? Are there any non-genuine that will do the same job and pass MOT? Many thanks
  2. air con no good as mine steams on the outside, wipers clear it but too dry any suggestions?
  3. i have the same engine with the same wheels as yours., no problems at all in 6 years, use it every day, in the hot, freezing cold, starts every time, still runs like I had it on day 1. Shouldn't have any problems as long as it's serviced.
  4. I can't see much difference between an expensive black edition fabia and a monte carlo in black, not worth the £5000 extra. I'd rather buy a 6-12 month old fabia monte and save thousands. sat nav and different seat colour maybe.
  5. what do you mean, don't fit? it's the other way round, the evo's and scoobies don't fit in with the VRS's. the skoda totally outclasses the cheaply built or showe-off bmw's.
  6. I've heard there used to be meets at Hams Hall, not sure if they happen these days. Are there any cruises anymore?
  7. It pays to ring up the insurance company, I always get a better price over the phone than on the website for the same company.
  8. It would look better without that piece of black trim behind the boot window
  9. Looks like a Fiat Stilo Estate. Need to be smoothed the area behind the headlights.. Bet they're going to charge a premium over the mark 2.
  10. Going next week, anywhere to buy live lobsters/crabs decent price? Anyone who catches them and willing to sell? Also where are the best places to fish? many thanks
  11. Isn't the 1.2 basically the same engine as 1.6 but with 1 less cylinder? The 1.2htp is my choice good balance of economy, price, running cost, reliable, good in town and on the open road. The only compromise is the low fuel consumption at higher speeds 70mph+ on the pre fl models, I believe the fl models have higher gearing in the top gear.. It suits most people's needs.
  12. It's big enough to turn into a mini camper van, there was a thread on here 'can you sleep in...' here it is: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/228181-can-you-sleep-in-a-roomster/?hl=%2Bsleep#entry3010615
  13. I don't think the 5mm difference will much be noticeable The Monte recently have the same wheels as the fabia VRS, older Monte models have 'Trinity' alloys
  14. I'm going to use Collinite 915 before the winter. After washing my car can I leave it wet or best to dry? Collinite recommends using a damp cloth to wax.
