  1. Hi, I can't say that I have that noise in first gear. I'll have a closer listen next time.
  2. I have a 1.4 TSi with a manual gearbox and do about 12k miles a year - I just like changing gear so DSG was never really a consideration :-) It's a lovely smooth gearbox and works well with the engine. I have heard of some issues with the new 1.5 TSi + manual gearbox combo - so worth checking this has been sorted before ordering anything.
  3. My water pump has just failed - luckily with 6 weeks left on the warranty. It's only done 30k miles - so not great :-( Low coolant level warning came on and then I've had to constantly top it up while waiting for it to go in to the garage.
  4. Apologies for this spam thread but I wasn't aware we had a Tyre Zone! This issue has probably been covered many times before but it's still a good video :-)
  5. It was HIGH12_P169_EU_201819.zip and it did contain the "Mib2\Truffles" folder - no idea what it's for but it does contain a directory for each EU lang.
  6. I've just updated my maps OK via the portal - so they do work. At the risk of stating the obvious, are you using the unpack facility after the download (if not than are you sure you've copied them to the correct place on the card) & are you using a fat32 formatted sd card?
  7. That's how it usually works for me but on this occasion it just pumped out very very hot air. It was like a blast furnace - with no sign of cooling!
  8. 30C outside yesterday afternoon and all the air con would do is blast out hot air No amount of fiddling with setting would encourage it to get cold. This morning it's 20C and appears to be working now. Anyone else had this problem?
  9. I think it's the front passenger door trim that's rubbing against the rear door trim - mine's been 'fixed' but it's still not right.
  10. After nearly three weeks (!) at the dealers it's now back with new soundproofing and carpet. The leak was traced to some part of the bulkhead under the wheel arch. Water must have got in during a particularly heavy downpour. They could only reproduce the leak by firing a water jet in the wheel arch with the the wheel arch skin removed. I think this warranty claim could easily have cost close to £1,000 so worth checking your carpets before the warranty runs out.
  11. It's fairly obvious now it's leaking Fortunately it's going in tomorrow for a new carpet.
  12. The dealer suspects the aircon as there is a known issue with the seals failing and the footwell filling with water. It's now booked in for a week to change the carpet, soundproofing and identify the leak. It's worth periodically checking (there is a small flap in the carpet by the front of the passenger seat) as there was no obvious smell or dampness - but the soundproofing is saturated. Best to check while you still have warranty as this is going to be an expensive fix given the labour involved in striping the interior.
  13. Thanks for the speedy reply. The clips look OK so I suspect the windscreen
